Heat pumps are becomming increasingly popular as an energy saving replacement to fossil fuel systems by offering up to 30% savings on heating bills and around 50% reduction in carbon emissions
The combination of installing solar PV and a heat pump system can eliminate heating costs presenting an excellent solution to spiraling fuel bills and the insecurity of fuel importation
Grants of up to£1,800 for air source and £2,700 for ground source heat pumps are available to households and VAT is reduced to 5%. Much bigger funding is available to communities, schools and charities.
